The Madrid Stock Exchange, founded in 1831, is one of Spain’s oldest financial institutions. For almost two centuries, it has played an essential role in the country’s economic history. The stock exchange has withstood boom periods and crises and has always remained a reliable indicator of economic developments in Spain.
As a secondary market, the exchange offers investors the opportunity to convert their shares into liquid assets whenever they wish—a crucial feature of a healthy financial system. Thanks to its role in channeling savings into productive investments, the Madrid Stock Exchange has greatly contributed to Spain’s economic growth.
After visiting the Exchange, we had a pleasant lunch in the Cibeles restaurant of the Azotea group.
Doctors Without Borders in Gaza
On October 7 2023, the violence in Gaza began. Two years later, the humanitarian consequences remain immense. Therefore, the DBC, in a gesture of solidarity, will donate all the money raised through the tour entirely to Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières).
Just over €400 has been raised with the tour. A donation of €500 has been made to the Gaza project of Doctors Without Borders.
