After nearly forty years in the legal profession, Peter has developed a passion for the international dimension of law. As a partner at Conway Litigation & Arbitration in Rotterdam, and since January 2025 also in Madrid, he focuses on maritime and transport law, international trade, and commercial arbitration. The expansion into Spain reflects his ambition to forge closer ties with the Latin American market and to support clients worldwide in complex trade disputes.
Peter combines deep legal expertise with a pragmatic approach. He has represented parties in arbitrations before institutions such as the ICC, CIETAC, and NAI, and regularly collaborates with foreign lawyers to identify the best strategy for each case. In addition to his practice, he is active in international legal networks, including shiparrested.com and the ICC Banking and Commercial Law Commission. What drives him is the challenge of building bridges between different legal systems and cultures—always with a focus on results and sustainable cooperation.
