Kaspar Huijsman is a seasoned investment expert and passionate private investor, with more than 27 years of experience in the financial sector. He is known for his sharp analyses, broad market knowledge, and his constant drive to look beyond headlines. Kaspar does not settle for partial truths; he aims to understand how markets truly work — and helps others do the same.
Kaspar was a co-founder of Alex Beleggersbank, one of the first online investment banks in the Netherlands. In 2006, he opened a branch in southern Spain, which evolved into an accessible Investor Centre — a place where investors could drop in without appointment to discuss their portfolios with a specialist over a cup of coffee.
Alex later became BinckBank, which was acquired by Saxo Bank in 2019. Kaspar was subsequently appointed CEO of Saxo Bank Spain and became a member of Saxo Bank’s international management team.
In 2021, Kaspar consciously chose entrepreneurship and founded Hugo Investing — the only licensed and regulated investment firm (Agencia de Valores) in Andalusia. Hugo Investing operates under the supervision of the CNMV, the Spain-based financial regulator headquartered in Madrid. Hugo focuses on investors who value personal guidance and a high level of service.
In 2022, Kaspar launched the Academy for Investors, an award-winning online education platform where investors — from beginners to advanced — learn how to manage their wealth in a structured and confident way. Academy for Investors offers an officially accredited programme, ensuring that its courses meet strict international quality standards for financial education.
Kaspar prefers to share his knowledge directly with investors. He is a frequent speaker at seminars, moderator and host at events, and guest lecturer at universities. His strength lies in translating complex market and economic developments into clear, practical insights that investors and entrepreneurs can immediately use.
