Yvonne Blake was a Spanish-British costume designer, winner of an Oscar for best costumes in 1971 – for the film Nicolás y Alejandra – and four Goya Awards. In 2012, she became the first woman to win the National Cinematography Award without having been an actress. She was president of the Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences of Spain (AACCE) from 2016 to 2018.
