Adriana de Ruiter is an experienced lawyer with a strong focus on international family law. She runs her practice from her own firm, Tulp Abogados, and is actively involved in international networks such as the IAFL and AIJUDEFA.
She studied Law at the University of Groningen and continued her studies at Universidad Carlos III. In addition, she obtained a Master’s degree in Immigration Law at ICADE and specialised in International Law at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Adriana has been admitted to the Madrid Bar since 2002.
Alongside her legal practice, she is a guest lecturer at several universities in Madrid, including the Autonomous University of Madrid, UNED and Universidad Carlos III. She also regularly delivers lectures and training sessions for judges, lawyers and other legal professionals at, among others, the General Council of the Judiciary, various bar associations and specialised training institutes such as ISDE.
In her practice, Adriana advises clients on complex family and financial matters with an international dimension. She has particular expertise in international child abduction and is chair of the professional association ASIME, which is dedicated to this specialised field of law.
